How to use Libéron Caseïn-based furniture paint?
Preparation is a very important step before painting a piece of furniture. It is essential to apply the paint on a clean, dry and dusted medium.
- On rough wood, MDF and OSB: Scrape (lightly cut the furniture with sandpaper 240) and dust.
- On varnished wood, washed, painted:
Wash (soda-based cleaner), rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.
Scrape and dust.
- On smooth and firm supports:
Wash, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.
Sand and apply primer to smooth surfaces.
- On oak and chestnut supports:
Apply anti-tannic acid prime first.
Application:
- Carefully mix the wood furniture paint with a wide paint mixing pad and emphasise on the bottom of the paint pot before painting your furniture.
- Apply with the Libéron flat brush, apply one or two coats of paint and make sure to sand between each coat.
- Leave to dry for 4 hours.
