MOTIP Heat Resistant - Decorative Laquer
Description
Motip Heat Resistant is a heat-resistant and excellent adhesive lacquer specially designed to treat surfaces exposed to extreme heat, temperatures up to 800°C (except for the red variant, up to 300°C). This lacquer suits treated and untreated surfaces such as car exhausts. The Motip Heat Resistant is resistant to petrol and chemicals and is also weather-resistant.
For a good result, the surface to be treated is first cleared of coarse dirt and must be dry and grease-free. Loose old layers of paint and rust are removed and the surface is lightly sanded. The product is best used at temperatures between 10°C and 25°C and work at a distance of about 25 to 30 centimetres from the surface to be treated.
The lacquer is applied in thin layers, shaking the spray can well before each application. After achieving the desired coverage, the lacquer is left to dry for about 1 hour and then it is heated for 30 - 60 minutes (about 200 °C) to harden. The hardening process will involve smoke.
Note: The drying time depends on the ambient temperature, humidity and thickness of the lacquer applied.
